Fashion Fitness: When Calories Don't Count

January 21, 2013

What about a new you for 2013 without counting calories or going to the gym?

Practically every ladies magazine on the news stand has a New Year, New You message on their January and February cover. Like many others, I indulged a little bit too much during the holidays and have visions of shedding those extra pound and working on those abs. Great idea! I'm all for it. But what about a quicker way to increase your fitness, that is your fashion fitness!!

Wouldn't it be fantastic go to that networking or business meeting and be greeted with "Wow, you look stunning." Well a new piece of jewelry can do just that. Here are some suggestions to add that wow factor to your wardrobe and be "fashionably fit":

From the Ceremony Collection

A mixture of African white and brown bone and black wood beads with a coral nugget accent on Greek leather. The combination of neutral colors and the one of a kind piece of soft red coral will create a conversation! There is also a mere touch of turquoise on either side of the coral nugget.

From the Illumina Collection

Handmade, textured sterling silver oxidized bead caps atop a classic white pearl with a pearl teardrop dangle. Argentium silver ear wires. 1 1/4 inches long. The pearls are classic but these are not your mother's pearls. They are freshwater pearls so each one is slightly different and gives the earrings an organic feel. And you'll love the way the dangle moves as you do.

From the Wink Collection

Three turquoise nuggets with vintage chains.19 1/2 inches long. This turquoise color is a soft blue rather than the typical deep blue color. The chains vary in color for a modern look. What a great focal point for your neckline!

What are you doing to increase your Fashion Fitness!

Making Rooms of One's Own

March 04, 2015

Before moving to Albuquerque over 16 years ago, I tried to pair down my belongings while still living in Atlanta, determined to make a "clean" start in my new home in the Southwest. I took bags and bags of things to local charities and disposed of tons of "stuff" collected over the years.
