Pattern Play

One of the many art forms I love is ceramics. The other day I was flipping through an art book on my shelf and I couldn't take my eyes off of this photo. Later in the day, I realized why. Their swirly pattern on these ceramic pieces looked almost exactly like the posts on these brass and Swarovski crystal earrings I recently made.

I find myself drawn to certain patterns and color combos over and over again in my daily walking, shopping and jewelry making life. Things like all kinds of leaves, Matisse-like shapes and black and white geometrics. The why remains a mystery!

Are you repeatedly attracted to specific visuals as well?
